Configuring a Workflow

Start the Customizing Transaction
Transaction SPRO to start the Customizing.

Select Task-Specific Customizing for Workflow

Expand the Application Hierarchy
The system displays the complete application hierarchy. In this case it is the R/3 hierarchy.

Select the Application

Task List
The system displays a list of tasks and workflows related to this scenario.

Note: In this initial Customizing we are simply making the tasks general, which allows everyone to execute them. In a production system you would assign organizational units or jobs instead.

Make the Task a General Task
General forwarding allowed allows users to forward the work item to anyone in the system.

General forwarding not allowed only allows users to forward to other possible users.

The Tasks Have Been Classified
You will now see that the dialog tasks have been classified as general tasks.

In a production system the indexes will be refreshed at midnight, but in order to test you can refresh them manually now, so that the buffer tables are up to date.
